Our Story

Lyndas Craft Room & The Wee House of Crochet

Hi, my name is Lisa

I only started to learn to crochet a few years ago, I taught myself using YouTube videos, reading magazines and books.  I love to make blankets, Mandalas and shawls, anything intricate and pretty, my favourite designers have to be Helen Shrimpton, Jane Crowfoot, and I am a huge fan of Amanda Blooms Little Box of Crochet.  I am pretty much hooked (pardon the pun) to say the least!  I did however quickly realise that I was on my own with crochet, none of my friends or family were interested in it at all, so I decided to start my own crochet group, it started quite slowly but it has really built up and I've made some fabulous friends,  this is where I met the lovely Lynda from Lyndas Craft Room, we are both fanatical about crochet, we have very different tastes which is great because we both learn from each other, we are also very honoured to both co-design the Knitcraft Crochet A longs, our first being Tea on the Green, shortly followed by Christmas is....and the very fabulous Knitcraft Water Garden.   I cannot wait to meet you at The Crochet Sanctuary, see you there!

Hi, my name is Lynda-Rose

My mum taught me the basics of crochet when I was very young, (after her attempt at teaching me to knit failed!) I picked it up on and off during my childhood but only got serious about it in my twentys. I get a bit bored when making blankets so you are more likely to find me making amigurumi, especially Lalylala or Zabbez patterns. I love different colour schemes, crocheting in public and taking photos of my makes at the local nature reserves. I must look a bit odd lying in the grass and climbing fences but I really don't care!

I am also very proud that both Lisa and I co-design for Knitcraft, our first design was Tea on the Green, then Christmas is.... and The Water Garden which is a current CAL.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you all at The Crochet Sanctuary, see you there!
